Hi guys, I'm not sure if this forum allows such inquiries, but where can I find a crown for my old/vintage IWC (ref 1872 Cal 8541B). Thanks!

    Hi, and welcome!
If you live near an Authorized IWC Dealer, start there. Otherwise you could contact IWC in Schaffhausen directly. Good luck!

Hi everyone, I am new to this site so forgive me if this post is not in the right place.
I just bought a beautiful timepeice for my father but I would like some more information about it although I have tried searching on the internet to no avail.
The watch is an automatic IWC from the 90's, I am told, serial number: 2476419. It looks similar to the PORTOFINO collection.
Any information would be appreciated thank you!

Hope you are able to find your original post and my reply here - as it was submitted on an existing thread of a different topic.

Without supplying a photo of your watch - it's hard to say, however with your description, I was able to look at the IWC catalog from 1996 and snapped this photo. Is your watch one of these?

These are from the "Portofino" collection.

After finding my watch with the help of some members of this forum (thank you!), does anybody know what the average retail price for 1990's Portofino collection was? Or what they are valued at (in mint condition).

I don't think I'm violating any forum rules by discussing retail prices from 20 years ago - but please edit/remove if I am...

The Ref 3514, Portofino Automatic, in steel on strap retailed for $2,500 USD according to the 1995 price list. My guess on a current value today, is probably still $2,500 USD.
