    HI
MY QUESTION IS, Is it normal be able to hear a rotor turning inside your mechanical watch? I know this might be seen as a general watch question, But i can hear a faint noise when rotating my IWC pilot chrono, Which I’ve never noticed before, your views would be appreciated.

Yes. This is completely normal. There are several components generating the sound, depending on the movement - including the bearings from where the rotor is mounted, as well as the winding cam. If you have an IWC with the Pellaton, Automatic winding system, there will be higher-pitched sounds of the winding pawls ratcheting to wind the barrel as the rotor spins.

The movement is an 89365, But your description of a ratcheting sound is spot on, Thanks for the reply, kind regards
    Vince.
