After posting my ref. 325 Portugieser a few weeks ago, I thought I'd share some images of a rare cal. 52T (cal. 52 S.C.) British military "H.S.3" pocket watch / deck watch which I acquired last week at a country auction here in the UK. I'm not a pocket watch guy at all, but this is a rare bird with only 200 or so having been produced for the Royal Navy around the late 1930's or 1940.. The other 1000 cal. 52T movements which IWC produced went into the German military B-Uhr big pilot's wristwatch. Condition of dial, case and movement are excellent, with just some small chips around the edge of the glass. These watches should have identical case and movement numbers, as this example does, with the last four digits repeated on the dial. They can be found with unsigned dials as per this one, and also with otherwise identical dials but which carry the "International Watch Co. SCHAFFHAUSEN " script.
Regards, Ian
