Rusty dial Big Pilot 5002

Hello together!
I own a very nice 5002 and wear it every day since more than 10 years. Recently I had a thorough look to the dial while cleaning the watch - and what I saw horrified me - the whole dial is cluttered with orange dots, looking like corrosion, see pictures..... this is a nightmare and I'm close to loose consciousness.....
Does anybody of you has made similar experience?

This is a WAG,wild ass guess, but moisture may have invaded the case and you are seeing the staining / rusting / even mold like stuff on the dial. I may be proven wrong here.

Have you had the 5002 serviced regularly and had the seals checked and replaced? If your 5002 has/ had the fish crown, it is known to have a gasket and other issues and was been replaced by the Probus Crown when serviced in SH.

does the sign on the crown mean, that there is no sealing or gasket for the crown?

No, it does not. It does mean that either the watch was sent to Schaffhausen for service in this period (as they as a matter of routine replaced the old crown [fish logo crown] with a new crown - to ensure entegrity of the o-ring fitted in the crown - and therefore the water resistance of the watch.

....or it means this is not an original 5002!

Either way the watch still looks very good .. but if it is rust (and not patina) then send it in to the wizards of Schaffhausen asap. The case looks well used (I like this)but you need to decide if sending to Schaffhausen we get to let them polish it or not?

It almost looks like a BP with an Aventurine dial.
