Since 2009 I own an Ingenieur 322701 which worked fine until about 6 months ago. It stopped and there was no way to bring it back to work. Therefore, I sent it to IWC München with the request for a repair estimate.

The very quick response states that my watch has been very thorougly checked and the following steps are recommended... What follows is just the regular service, 481 Euros.

Isn't the described problem something which needs special care and repair? And should IWC not do a little more about (as far as I know) a fairly common problem with my watch? I do not think, that it is normal, that an Ingenieur stops after 2,5 years without accident!

I'm sorry to hear about your issue and hope it is soon resolved. In general indvidual service matters aren't forum topics since we can't fully diagnose electronically what occurred.

However, the normal service protocol for most problems, like stopping, is to do a complete overhaul. Trying to pinpoint specific problems can actually be less efficient and often more costly. This is standard for 99% of the industry.

Good luck on a quick resolution.

Thanks for quick response! I have spoken to Service München and they are discussing the issue.

One question: Wasn't stopping somewhat a "problem" with the first 3227's ?

    best regards,
    Daniel

Who would have guessed? I brief discussion via phone with service München and they made me an offer, I couldn't decline. Excellent!
    :-)

I hope to have my Inge back soon in great shape...
