Just few words from my side, without pictures sorry, but it was intentional; this time I wanted to enjoy the best, the flavor of the moment.

I felt very lucky to having the chance to participate for the third time in a row to SIHH, I feel the need to thank Michael for this and IWC of course.

Michael is… Michael, should I add more words to describe the perfect moderator? I’m lucky and honored to say he’s my friend; during these days Michael was simply perfect, always in touch with the collectors, he was both, a constant landmark for everybody and “one of us” also.

Thanks to Oliver too, I really like the guy and I was glad to see the confidence he expressed, managing all the events and the activities he took care of, well done my friend!

The IWC booth, you already know, was the best booth of the whole fair, by far. The new pilots collection was very intriguing, especially for those who like big watches but also for the high ratio of in-house movement. I personally liked the Miramar, big watch with big personality, I think it will sell very well; the strap, although I’ve heard it will be slightly changed, is amazing.

Thanks also to Herr Kern, he found some time, as usual, to talk to us. I saw him very happy and optimist about the future and that’s always a good thing to those who love IWC. I won't forget to mention also all the IWC members I had the pleasure to get in touch, big thanks to you.

And finally, I would like to spend just few words for the collectors. I must tell the truth, it was great meeting you, you made this experience very gratifying and special to me.

The spirit you’ve shown during this happening, made me thinking of a new category of watch collectors, peculiar to you, which I will call, now on: "The IWC People".

    So, thank you, IWC People!

    Roberto,

Your are certainly correct. It starts with the watches but ultimately, it is about the friends you make and maintain.
The watches draw us together but the friendships are enduring and rewarding.

Roberto --It was a true pleasure to see you again. You're a great guy and fine collector, and I'm honored by your acquaintance. But I must disagree with your assessment of my role --I just try to do the best I can, as part of a team with much more talent than me. But I do love this forum and its participants, as well of course IWC.

    But thanks.

P.S. sorry for writing so late, but I arrived home a bit under the weather. This week was worth that ;)
