    Hi friends,

I haven't been very active around here recently, I was very busy at work and enjoyed an early holiday, including a mid-week in lovely Paris ;-)

I saw a number of great Tourbillons over here the last weeks (including MF's of course!)! So my question is: at a fantastic jeweller in Paris, I saw this skeleton Tourbillon, but I really couldn't recall ever seeing this one before?!

I must say that this jeweller represents an amazing number of top notch brands, including IWC of course, and had lots of limited editions (some also exclusive to them).

So... did I miss something or is this a limited edition?

    Kind regards,

    Bob

I saw it at the factory more than a year ago..

Because I knew it hadn't been published yet, I kept my mouth shut. Needless to say that I wasn't allowed to take pictures of it.

Do you know where I saw it? In the testing lab! Turning around in a large box, dropping from left to right with every turn. IWC even submits these models to the horrific test program! It almost hurt to see such a nice watch being tortured like this....

A second one was on the wrist of the head of the lab, giving it some 'every day' use...

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    I think they look awesome

The craftmanship shows superbly, these skeletons have to be admired. It is a bit of a different world to me, but it certainly is wonderful that IWC endeavours this. These watches provide such a learning curve, I am sure. So, if these watches work well, how about that simple, basic Vintage Collection Portuguese I will collect soon? That must run, and run, and run, as long as I wind it.

    Kind regards,
    Paul, wearing Saint Exupéry Chrono

I am pretty sure I saw this at the...

Boutique in Las Vegas a few months ago. The manager took it out for me. Totally skeletonized. Not my style but from a mechanical point of view quite mesmerizing.

    me too.....

Great to read you again Bob.

When I was in Schaffhausen yesterday morning I seen a blue dialed Ingenieur like yours (Ref 866 AD)....it was a nice surprise - sorry it was a tremendous surprise. I asked to buy it immediately - but the owner only laughed and told me to dream on........would you like to give me your one instead ?

    Andrew

    Paris

I was in Paris to this weekend and saw the same watch at a watchdealer near George V and the Champs Elysee. They also had the vintage moonfase.

Although I personally don't like the watch it looks very special, and I wondered the same thing you did..
