It is January 1 and as we start the new year, it suddenly struck me that there was a remarkable event from 2011 that I hope will carry forward. We have seen so many new posters on this Forum, and so many great posts by people who have not posted here very many times.

Perhaps it was the presence on Facebook, or the closing of the German Language Forum, or maybe something else altogether. But I am thrilled to hear the input of so many new friends, and especially to see some outstanding watches and collections I did not know existed.

It appears IWC is more than alive and well in 2012, and I look forward to another great year sharing the passion with you all.

As a new member I must confess that I do not have an Facebook account, and did not know about the closing of the German Language Forum, but I am sure and hope that many of those members are here now!

How did I find may way to this forum? Even if visiting IWC webb page I did not take any notice of the forum, more than that I could see that is was one. But when searching the webb for pictures and information on IWC, I found the forum and it´s fantastic contents.

Like when you Whichwatch recently posted the status of your collection, that is very inspiring and great reading!

So I hope I will get the time to be here regularly and share the gen with all!

    Thank´s from Fredrik

+1, and well said whichwatch :)

I attribute this also to the generous, helpful, open, patient and positive engagement by knowledgeable, older forummers in welcoming and helping others, especially newer members like myself.

two particular quotes I like I wish to share in the same vein:

Be alert to give service. What counts a great deal in life is what we do for others.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

I agree, it has been an expansion of membership that has enriched us all! I can't help but think we are in for a great 2012 for the best forum around!
