Recently I have noticed a very large increase in spam posts and replies on The Forum! These are posts that on the surface appear normal, have in some cases relevant information, but they have an imbedded link to useless advertising!

I am wondering how these accounts are authenticated in the first place, and how a BOT is able to open an account.
    I have two suggestions:

    1. Maybe two-factor authentication should be imposed
    2. Please add a REPORT SPAM button next to the LIKE button.

    Hear, hear!

This has annoyed me for a long time. Although I never click on the links (in a browser on a computer you can see the embedded link if you let your mouse rest above the link for a few seconds, and then you can usually understand that they are not about IWC) but the posts are a nuisance.

Please IWC and moderator, is there any way of stopping these spam posts?

I really enjoy all real postings on the forum, since more than 20 years!

In my opinion, it would be great to get rid of these spam-postings.

    There could be some solutions:

    - not allowing hyperlinks with masked URLs

    - not allowing hyperlinks for new users (for example with less than 10 posts)

    - a "report spam" button could make it easier for our moderator to delete spam-postings

We are working on new forum software with measures to block these kind of posts. In the meantime, I delete these as soon as I spot them.

    Thank You Tonny!

I know this has become a flood and you are deleting them as fast as you can
