Did you spend enough time to purchase??
Really a stunning back.

Wow. She yours now Shing? The hand engraved bridges and caseback are amazing. Tourbillon, Rattrapante, Minute Repeater, Perpetual Calendar, Chronograph all in one amazing, hand made package of platinum.... Amazing.
That is one beautiful hunk of metal! I'm not sure I could have put it back down. Or maybe you didn't?
Nonono gents, my pockets are not that deep ! this was taken at a auction preview - up for auction next week. three of them are up for grabs actually.
magnificent piece.
Stunning beauty Shing! I bet it must be a very heavy baby.
A true masterpiece, thanks for sharing the picture here with us.
Kind regards,
Clemens
That is a really beautiful movement. If we all chip in a few hundred dollars we could buy it and take turns wearing it.
That is really some fine finishing.
Very, very nice Shing! Seems there are a few special IWC's coming up for auction shortly - I noticed a B-Uhr Cal 52 and a 1940 Cal 74 Portuguese coming up at one of the big auction houses in the next few weeks. Better go check the piggy bank . . . .
One can sit and admire this beautifully crafted watch for hours ! Hope to see it in person sometime.

just wow, never had the chance to see one so thanks for sharing this fantastic picture!

Shing, I know the feeling!
I recall clearly just prior to SIHH 2012, visiting my local AD together with KS Low and seeing that watch and it's gold sister in the metal. They are truly amazing pieces.
Auction prices have softened over the last year or two. It would would be an expensive purchase but a lowball bid may be lucky. I saw a gold one for sale in Zurich a few years back and was surprised by the extent of the depreciation from its original list price. The key issue is whether it could be worn regularly. There's the value and then there's its sheer size.
Shing, I see Ralph's point. Why not put a low-ball bid in, and see how lucky you are?
It is lovely, a true piece of art.

thanks for the enabling gents, LOL, but no, not for now for me -- the reserves are still too high for me.
That's a watch I would gladly consolidate my collection to get. I would wear it every day...or at least try to...carefully.
Did you get to listen to the minute repeater ?
I did -- in my opinion it is a notch louder and clearer than the portuguese minute repeaters present and past.
