I am thinking of getting an spitfire 3878 and I'd like to Know how do You think that It will grow old?
Will It be a featured IWC piece?

I think many people considered it among the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful, of new models this year. And with the Ardoise dial an in-house movement it's special --and in my opinion actually a best buy although it's not inexpensive.
It is a classic and versatile watch, so I don't see it easily growing old for most people. But also I can see someone adding later a dressier watch and also a sportier watch (like an Aquatimer). But for one watch that has élan, and can be dressy and sporty, it's really an excellent choice.
If you are buying it as an allround-want-to-wear-it-every-day watch, the Spitfire can pull it off ... mine is!
Only speculating here, but I dont see another range of watches in the nearby future with the 3xdate... thus maybe a keeper!?
