I am still honey-mooning with my new Ingeieur Mission Earth Plastiki 2. It took up all my wrist time for the past 10 days.

I was also very interested to try the different strap options of this beauty

    The black rubber strap

    The steel bracelet

The wrist shot of the bracelet

What do you think about different combinations?

Sorry for the poor Blackberry photos

    Hi Felix,
I thought the bracelet is quite good looking. There's nothing wrong with your photos, in fact they came up well on my screen. I tend to think that watches with bracelets have to be worn tight but that's my personal opinion. If you feel right, just go for it.

My preferred option would be the steel bracelet – it looks great!

Felix - to me it depends on what your are doing when wearing the watch. If you are in the office then the bracelet may be the best option.
I am a big fan of rubber straps when I am out being active - and that blue rubber strap just makes this watch really stand out in my humble opinion.

i think the bracelet looks good and very consistent with the tough-hard ingenieur theme.

my personal choice in other of most preferred would be: blue rubber strap, then bracelet, the black rubber strap, but as always, to each his own for these beauties :)

I have always been partial to wearing sporty watches on bracelets, but the blue rubber strap on the Plastiki is a winner and looks great, too.

When I bought the first Aquatimer Cousteau a number of years ago, I found the rubber strap to be hot and uncomfortable. I put the watch on a bracelet and loved it. I never wanted to try another IWC rubber strap after that.

Alan Ross was nice enought to let me try on his new Plastiki at the Phildelphia gathering. The rubber strap looked and felt great! I don't know what IWC changed in the composition of the rubber, but it worked!

So in answer to your question, both look great. I would be tempted to buy both and change from time to time. I'd leave the black rubber strap for a different watch.

I agree with Dick...if there is a way to buy both, I think both would be worth having as an option. I live in a hot climate and the bracelet is just more practical for daily wear. But having seen Alan's blue strap also, it really complimented the overall look of the Plastiki.

I have both a rubber strap and a SS bracelet for my AT 2000. I hardly ever wear the rubber strap, but that's a personal preference. The blue strap does look great on your IWC.

Hi Felix, Personally I prefer the SS bracelet. It matches the watch very nicely.

I think you need both the rubber strap and the bracelet for different events.

I agree. Eventually I will get a bracelet. But the blue rubber looks fine and I don't have a problem with it like some others here.
However, the black rubber looks out of place and does not match up well with the blue on the dial.

It is a great looking watch, and I would take the bracelet. Not only does it look great, it is great too if it resembles the bracelet on the 3227, although I only know the titanium one here. Rubber is no option for me, although I understand the need for an alternative for a leather strap under sporty and sweaty conditions. But I don't know why, rubber looks cheap to me. A good quality sailcloth strap like on my Fifty Fathoms could be a nice idea: looks great, wears great.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Both rubber and bracelet are versatile but my choice would be the bracelet, but that's because I have never been into rubber.

Another vote for the bracelet, but I think the blue rubber strap goes very well with it too....

SS bracelet for warmer humid weather and rubber strap for colder weather and swimming was how I best enjoyed my former GST aquatimers.....

I love the Blue color of this strap.

    Felix,

I must say... YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH AN IWC BRACELET.

Thanks for the all-cap message, but I want to make sure it is heard.

I have 4 IWC watches with metal bracelets... they simply are one of the best bracelets made. If you haven't had an IWC bracelet, you owe it to yourself to get one. It is that good.
