Successor model Portugieser 3714

I'am planning to buy this watch. Are there any plans to replace this model?
Does anyone has any informations about this topic?
What is the strategy of IWC?

When the Chrono Classic (ref.3904) was introduced earlier this year there was speculation that this was the next successor to the 3714. IWC indicated that this was a new addition to the Portuguese line and was not retiring the 3714.

Some comments have suggested that the 3714 will be phased out over the next year or two. Haven't heard any new news on this. Perhaps some other members may have recent information.

BTW, have both the 3714 & 3904 and really enjoy each as they are unique in their own way.

Which variation are you considering ?
