Photoshop work, and not even a good one. Show the same watch from different angles if you want to prove the contrary.

Nothing is unbeliveble (loock my avatar which is a watch with 2 times a "VII" - wich is real, it is even with this dial this in the catalogs).
Here the link to corresponding catalog page in the forums catalog project
But as the dials are a "series-production" , there have to be more out of it.
not just one...
Maybe its Photoshop work. (what is astonishing are the wrong angles of the numbers)

Ralph
P.S.: I dont think this is a Photoshop Job (or a good one)
When you dow load the fullsize picture, the background of the dial and the shadow seems to be OK.
( S... happens in the production).
I recommend, when you dont like it get it replaced but ask to keep the original dial.
If you draw a line from the light reflections on the numbers 5 and the 10 the lines cross over at a point which is off the screen. The light reflections from the 8 don't cross the same point - until you move it to the correct position on the dial .........
For me it is Photoshop, should have been posted April 1st.
If the dial is stamped than this switch is impossible.
I do not think the numbers are applied on this model's dial
I believe that all the modern Portuguese watches have applied numbers, this version with gold coloured numbers on a white dial is too new to have an embossed dial. And I guess such an error would be far more unlikely with an embossed dial.
Kind regards,
Paul
Ok - A lot of people saying it is a photoshoped so here you go. No real reason for me to photoshop for thing like this :/
P.S. I've returned this one, although it might be worthwhile for collectors but I probably want a normal one :)
I agree - the eight does look askew. Not sure why this is...
Anyway, glad you've been able to exchange it.
Todd
Odd, I'd like to hear if the company anything to say to this one.
I agree, I would also have returned this one. Beside the value as a conversation piece I doubt it would be adding anything extra but confusion when on the wrist.
This is like a bad joke, this is embarrasing for the IWC QC organisation... Let's know what kind of comments you will get from there.

I would never have returned before having spoken to an IWC representative to find out if the dial could be changed in addition to being able to keep the 'erroneous' one.
remarkable!!!
Please accept my apologies, I stand corrected, not Photoshop!
Strangely enough I personally would have kept it as it would be a unique IWC!
It just goes to show that even stringent QC sometimes can miss a glaring miss build.
It would be good to hear what they say!
IMO, I think in addition to replacing it with a "new" watch, IWC should send you a especially nice complementary gift thanking you for NOT keeping it, showing it to the world, using it as a conversation piece or worse, putting it up for auction on the net.
How this could have passed QC checkpoints from when the markers were applied and forward is amazing. This is not the kind of quality and workmanship IWC has worked hard over decades to build it's reputation on.
Just an opinion, but IWC...reach out and show your appreciation on this matter. Returns for mechanical accuracy adjustments are one thing, but this is quite another.
Andy
i agree.this sort of thing isn't acceptable.they owe you!
regards.
kenneth.
Sent a formal complaint.. Waiting to hear back...
I think it is worth you relooking at this, don't see a problem with the lines?
What a bad experience, hope you are treated well by our fabled IWC!
