technical Question on cal. 5000

I have the followed question:

What happens when you set the time but turned the hands backwards over the midnight twelve? Does it damage the movoment or what happens? (Portuguese 5001)

A watchmaker told me later this day it doesnt hurt the movement, so my question is anwsered..
