    Yes...but is it art? ;-)

So pure! A real beauty. At least to my eyes.

With such ardent fans and protectors of the brand, I can only hope IWC stays true to its values and philosophy.

No, and it is without soul. Like a Volkswagen Phaeton. Nicely made, full of features, but emotionally cold as a fish.

I could not disagree more. It is absolutely gorgeous. Pure. Unique. Genius. To compare it to a VW is just plain wrong. In my humble opinion. Seriously, look at it, it is stunning!!!

I was talking about the high class Volkswagen Phaeton. There were many ingenious people involved building it, and they delivered a fantastic car, technically far beyond classic luxury cars, and all of this for a very reasonable price. But it did not cause emotions. That's why it failed.

I know which car you are talking about. And I agree it was soulless. I don't agree with the comparison to this movement. As I said, I think it is stunning. Each to their own.

What does create emotions to a "product"? Exactly...the story (dream) behind! Who does it? The marketing departement!

Regarding this simple, undecorated movement I see it like this:

Sure it is - but it is harmless, done in jest. Tony can be a little tongue-in cheek so don't take it too seriously.

Well, you all got what you paid for i guess. Tool watch with perfect DNA from IWC as i have read here over and over in the forum. Single date window even, it was al great. For a very fair price an exclusive limited editon. A dream i think. And now there are complaints about what is NOT visible on the inside under a soft iron dome ????? Gentlemen please......

If you want beauty a la PP or Lange you have to put up the dough as well. Other wise, if you pay with peanuts, you get monkey`s as the saying goes.

Mr Moderator end this embarassing discussion please.

I guess you just put some new life into this thread again, it disappeared from the "recent post list" a short while ago, puting it out of sight for most of us. Let's see what happens next...

    Kind regards,
