Just sold a Mark XVI to get this beauty: faithful to the iconic MK XI design and with a great Jaeger LeCoultre movement instead of the cheap ETA. With its 36mm it fits so fine on my thin wrist! So simple yet so full of character!! It's rather elegant with brown crocodile strap and deployant clasp; put on a black leather one with buckle and it becomes sporty and "stealthier". Very happy with it :)

Nice watch, congratulations!
As for the last real Mark, if you want to call it that way: that should be the Mark XI, with an in-house movement. The Jaeger-LeCoultre movement, while nice, proved to be a bit fragile for a tool watch. In this respect the ETA-based 30110 is much more in line with the heritage of the Mark: sturdy and accurate. I would choose the later Marks over the Mark XII anytime because of this. All the more because you cannot admire the movement, as you can with the small Portuguese Automatic of about 15-20 years ago: I own that watch in rose gold but hardly wear it anymore because of its small size. That movement is so beautiful that it deserves to be seen.
