    Hello,

    I just bought The Portugieser Hand-Wound Eight-Days Edition 150 Years with 8
    Day Power Reserve. (caliber 59215)

I would like to understand the power reserve and the power reserve indicator.

I fully wound the watch close to the 8-day notification.

Therefore, I do not feel resistance like other manually wound watches and can
continuously wind the watch even the indicator shows the maximum point.

I am not sure if that is a problem or the normal function of Portugieser Hand-
    Wound Eight-Days Edition 150 Years (caliber 59215)

    Thank you very much.

    Hi PYRUVATE17

I have had my "8 day" (IWC IW5102-11) the gold version for 6 months now, and
loving every minute. The winding does feel strange with no feedback from the
crown, it does get a little tighter towards the end, It is quite an endurance
allow some downtime to enjoy the experience. This is maybe a small gripe that
the crown could be a fraction bigger.

    Enjoy!

I can assure you that everything is absolutely correct with your watch. The
latest version of Cal. 59215 is equipped with a sliding spring and therefore
you do not feel a stop when your watch is fully wound.

Earlier versions of the same Reference, such as my 510203, are equipped with a
standard mainspring and therefore my watch stops when it is fully wound.
However, these "old" barrels will be exchanged during the next service and
then I will also get a sliding spring. Apparently, sliding springs are more
user-friendly because they lead to less malfunction.

    Enjoy your new beauty!
