I think it is quite an attractive watch! When you say "order", there are two pieces of information that I miss: what is the price, and where can one order. I know one could reserve a watch, which in my book is not quite the same as ordering one. I read somewhere that the price is to be announced later this year, so it would make sense that the ordering process would start after this announcement.
Kind regards,
Paul
Very nice.
seems that IWC recognizes finally that the first one was probably the best one...and if now in Ti...even better..
yes no price is announced yet.
for those who didn't request a number in Chris' IG post, I suggest them to contact their IWC boutique for possible logistics of ordering (not reserving) asap.
Beautiful watch - get your orders (reservations) in Ladies and Gents, it's a limited series and selling out fast!
Got PM'ed on Instagram about the number I selected. My local boutique isn't in the drop-down list provided in the form you're supposed to fill out. Hope that's still fine. Form still was submitted. Hope the price isn't too far from the regular BPs. Fingers crossed...
I also got a PM but there was no mention of a form...
I was DM'ed this. Maybe it's because I specified for a number. Mods/admins, please do let me know if I should remove the photo. Thanks.
Yeah I definitely got the first part of the message but not the second regarding the form.
Anybody know what engraving is going to be on the back of the watch?
Best regards,
Jonathan
I know its a long shot but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Long time IWC collector here who missed a shot at the Safari by a second or two it seems and would love to get one if one of you lucky folks decides its not for you. This one would go along side my BP Top Gun PPC and The Safari just sings to me. Thx for your consideration. Best, Jon

Your best bet may be to call the IWC boutiques individually as they were tasked with calling the people who ordered the Safari in their geographic areas in to take deposits. They would know if one of their regional buyers backed out when it came time to pay the deposit.
Couldn't hurt to call a boutique now, but definitely call again on/after the 15th of Nov. That is the deadline to confirm a reservation and pay the deposit. If any buyers backed out, they would know for sure at that time if any reservations are up for grabs or not.
However one thing, I hear that if you weren't originally on the reservation list, due to this being such a limited production with astronomical demand, you may be required to put down the entire retail price up front. (you pay tax when you pick up the watch)
If you were on the original reservation list, the deposit is 50% of the retail price of the watch on or before the 15th, you pay the rest + tax when you take delivery in may 2018
Thank you very much for the info. I thought I would get a notification in my email when there was a reply to my post but I did not so I only now just saw the reply.
I have put a msg into the one boutique I have done business with and am awaiting their reply. If any of you know of an open reservation at your own boutique, please msg me through here. I am ready to put down the 50% needed. It would make a fine piece to go along side my BP Top Gun Perpetual Calendar . I will check back regularly too. Thanks again all!

Hi Jonathan, no but I would be surprised if it is different from the current standard. Again, that's just my guess.
Kind regards,
Bob
As far as I know, if you aren't the original holder of the reservation slot, but you manage to secure a reservation because of someone dropping out, due to the extreme limited nature of this piece, you will have to put up the entire purchase price up front. Then pay tax upon taking delivery.
One boutique in a major metropolitan area says they get a few calls every single day for this piece but haven't had any openings since reservations went live. :(
These are absolutely stunning. Congrats in advance to the happy owners.
it is confirmed that the Safari will come with a specially made titanium FISH crown
