Remember some time ago the GTG in Holland with all the double moonphase PPC ?
Me too ( I was there and still taking my pills, so I remember ).
And what especially stayed on my mind was an other IWC on the table, the PPC 5022. I always like it very much ; very elegant and a literally brilliant moonphase. So... I could not resist a violent attack of the virus...
It arrived this morning at the office, here is a quick wrist shot. Told my wife it was an early chistmas gift to myself.

Welcome to the PPC club, Tonny. It's an amazing watch. I am in withdrawal as mine is in Schaffhausen for some service. Enjoy yours and wear it in good health. If you have any other side effects from the IWC Holland virus, let us know.

Here is an older photo of mine that is often my desktop image as a reminder.

Ahh Tonny - I fully understand. Could not be helped. Virus was rampant that day!

...and what a handsome piece - as result of the infection.

Wear in good health my friend.

Good choice Tonny. I always enjoyed this watch whenever Bill wore it...which was often. Can't go wrong with a PPC. and like Kevin, Christmas is early this year.

    Tonny...nice pick-up. CONGRATS !!

Would like to join the PC crowd one day. Perhaps IWC could offer a 42mm version for us "wrist size" challenged admirers.

First of all a big congrats Tonny - you chose the exact timepiece that drew me to IWC in the first place. Your new watch's brother says hi from Norway (older picture):
    i1105.photobucket.com/albums/h341/Skule/IWC%20PPC%2011-09-2011/IMG_3052.jpg
PS! I really love that sparkling sky of the 5022 too, especially after hearing how difficult it was for IWC to manufacure that stone - so much in fact that they gave it up for the 5023!

Andy - you are in luck my friend, if you can find a 5022 they are indeed 42,3mm (as opposed to the 5023 at 44,1mm) - so now you have no excuse - LoL :-)

Skule my UCSB friend....42.3 you say? WOW...tell me more. What variations did this come in? How long ago was the 5022 retired? Any and all details please !

Members out there who have the 5022, I invite you to post your pic's. I think I might have found something that I thought was not in the cards for me.

This virus shows no mercy. Wife is urging me to call the "Centers for Disease Control" (CDC) for help !

Oh my God, a PPC in my size. Pinch me !

Andy - Don't contact the CDC. The inevitable outcome is that you would infect them with the virus rather than cure yourself.

As for the 5022, I see Platinum with white dial, Yellow Gold with white dial and White Gold with gray dial (my favorite). There may be others - those are what I saw for sale on a well-known watch sales site. By the way, congratulations on your soon-to-be incoming. :)
