I have ever seen, is this one, for the PD by IWC SL Design models.
By the way, this is the ref. 3517, 32 mm in diameter. A rare SL with an automatic movement.
A small manual for small watches :-)

A rare bird indeed
I presume in the manual it does not indicate what "SL" stands for.....

The manual for the 866 is smaller! Here are...
...some pictures. I think the cover is roughly only 2x3 cm's!
I love your photography and collages Heiko! Groet,
Bob

Wow! Ø 32,0 mm is getting small >
Still looking very nice Heiko.

Wow, great info, thank you Bob.
The 866 is not in my collection yet. A great watch.

Small, the taste has changed.
At that time (1980), 32 mm was big enough for a MENs watch. And this 3517 is very comfortable to wear.

Very nice ................
.........I have the same one but in Quartz.
My first IWC (very higt tech in those days because of Ti) and belongs to my wife now.

Thanks and a 3317 photo. (n.t.)

My 3317..............
....Sorry, my wife's 3317.
Thanks Heiko for the excellent photo.
Cheers,
SC

Well, SHE prefers this one.
So I keep my 3x17 in my collection :-)

Understood Heiko, but I would think Ø 32,0 mm >
small at anytime. If a dial has a high contrast with bold easy to read fond Ø 35/36 mm is my minimum. Ø 38/39 is fine for dress watches, and I prefer Ø 42/44 mm for daily/night wear.
Why not make the most of my 18,3 cm wrist?

Best from Isobars.
Rare but with the IWC allure...
Nice pic of an interesting piece. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Isobars, even small watches could show the time
A comparison with another small watch :-)
