    Today is a great day!

I am following in Ralph's foorsteps as I picked up my new Vintage Ingenieur. Just got back from my dealer. Must be the first one in the Netherlands :-)

I am not as strong as Andrew so I won't keep it in the box for another month until my birthday ;-)

This watch is such a beauty, I could not be happier :-))

Some quick snaps because I was eager to share these, I'll make some proper footage this weekend when I have a little more time.

I know there is some controversy over the see through back, but personally I really like to see the movement so I am very happy with it. Just look how nice it is:

    A very fitting watch

Congratulations, and it is not true that the waiting part is the best part: enjoy it! If these are quick snaps I wonder how the serious pictures will look like. The last picture is, apart from the movement itself, interesting because of you: it took me a few seconds to work out how your fingers came around the watch, it really shows how much you want it.

    Kind regards,
    Paul, wearing Portuguese Perpetual Calendar

Well done, Nicky and welcome to the club!

Exactly one week after I got mine.

I am sure you'll be as delighted as I am after one week. It's a super watch. Looks very modern but keeps some of the classicism of the original Ref 666. Super pictures, as always.

I intend to do a report on life with the Ingenieur when I get an hour or two. Not that it is hugely important but it is exactly 7 days to the hour when I set my Ingenieur to the US atomic clock. According to my watch, the US atomic clock has gained just under 4 seconds in a week but it does have a caveat that it's only accurate to the nearest 0.4 of a second.

    Enjoy!

    Kind regards,

    Ralph
