Tools to change straps

Hi guys :)

I'm planning on buying the santoni leather strap for my Pilot's Watch Automatic 36 (324002). Which tools do you recommend to change straps? Or is it in general a bad idea to change straps on my own since I do not want to do any damage to the case.
