Unusual design from the 70s in perfect shape.

It is rare, but not expensive.

This ref. 1833 from the 70s was in the safe since many years.

So, it is time for some current photos with a modern camera :-)

No idea about a new dial ?!

About 10 years ago I had the opportunity to buy a convolute of some NOS IWC and Zenith watches from a retired local watchmaker.

Two of these ref. 1833 were included and some PD by IWC ref. 3510 and ref. 3822, but no hint about service or new dials ?!

All those watches were NOS, in perfect condition, but without boxes and papers.

But some decades ago, IWC has sold spareparts to watchmakers ?!

That's intresting Hebe, i've never seen a 1833 devoid of a fantasia stamp of dial and sorting out originality and what maybe a service replacement is obviouslly not easy, though i notice Schaffhausen are willing and capable of reproducing that stamp of dial for customers in a spa for similar models from that time period. Looks like you've got two very odd (uncommon) lots with the 1833 and the 1832 with rectangular chequer work.
