It takes up to a minute to upload the collectors forum. I am using Mac, Safari, and high speed cable and yet it takes forever to load and heaven forbid I decide to return to the index...am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance

    You are not alone >>>

This issue has been reported previously and it seems to be a low priority issue for any resolution. I know MF has tried. My work around at this point is to right click on an thread and open in a new tab. When I'm finished with that thread, I just go back to the original thread while the second tab stays open doing its thing.

Frustrating. It limits my time on the forum for sure.

    A special possibility

Don't you have an old Windows machine in the attic, with Internet Explorer 6? I just works fine on this forum: both may be about the same age. No kidding: this is my configuration, and I am quite pleased by the results.

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing yellow gold Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, about the same age again: quite a successful combination

I do have a PC and all is well with it. It's Macs

that have the issue. There are a lot of us out there.

    Parallels as a temporary solution?

    Hi Bill and all,

I consider the technical problem as intolerable and have complained repeatedly about it. It is not directly IWC's fault since they are dependent on an outside IT agency for software issues.

Other than apologize to you, and being persistent to IWC, I understand that you can run a Mac as a Windows machine by using sotware (Parallels). You need to buy the software, plus Windows, but that may solve the issue and allow you to use a Mac. You even can use the Safari version for Windows as a browser, but I'm not sure how that would work with Parallels.

    Sorry --and good luck,
    Michael
P.S. I have the same problenm with my new 3G iPad, which I got in large part to work on the forum while commuting.
