How are all you guys posting all these posts if you can't post?! Very confused.

There is a convoluted work around. It is just not easy to get directly onto the Forum right now.

I'll pass along the problems to IT, but I suspect no one will be able to looks these issues until Monday.

Never had the confusion with name or language, but I do have regular issues about signing in and my recent forum history isn't there until I look at a few of the forum posts.
Just a thought, had an email from Adobe saying they had had some nasty toe rag hack their system for the accounts of the registered software owners. Thank heavens I have no payment details logged with them. Maybe something similar has happened here. Sometimes I wonder whether websites should all be from a computer that is never on a companies business network. Too easy to loose your records unless backed up and protected tighter than Fort Knox.

I'm currently logged in under some funny name that hasn't posted since 2006. So mine is playing up as well.

It doesn't seem like a hacking issue, because it's not affecting everybody, including me. Rebooting your system might help.
    Regards.

Hmm, rebooting my iPad, not sure how to do this. Since my laptop "left" me, I use the iPad Mini, which behaves like a refrigerator, that is, I don't need to know nor to do anything about it, just to use it: great!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Dear Paul.Like you,I'm no expert with all things IT. Go to settings on your iPad > general > reset > reset all settings . You won't lose any data, but as always with these things, proceed with caution.
    Good luck.
    Kenneth.

And now New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc has began appearing in the cellar, so there is something amiss! ;-)))

I have never seen the problem when connecting from home, but from work
I see it all the time. The network at work is quite a bit more compilicated than the one I have at home, address translation (NAT) and break-out far from physical location. (Oslo -> Amsterdam and/or San Jose.) My though was that this could be an issue with how session id was created. An idea was also that this could be an IPv6/IPv4 thing, but no investigation done in that aspect.

    Aloha all -

This past week there were six instances when I had the same problem with Greg - I kept getting logged in as another Forum member - I could also view that member's recent activity screen. This only occurred on my work computer which routes through our main office on the East Coast of the USA.

Each time I switched over to my iPad (which is on a local network) and I was able to log on (although occasionally encountering the "You are already signed on" problem that others have described).

It's a real problem. Unfortunately the person who coordinates on this has been out with some minor surgery, and the other staff persons are now on holiday since the Manufacture is closed until after the first of the year.

As such I'm sorry this can't be fixed immediately. As far as I can do, there are no compromises in anything confidential and this is just a data base corruption. It has occurred to me, too, but it hasn't stopped me posting as myself.

Ok, the site is still having a problem with noting which posts I have already read. My solution? I cycle back and forth between Collectors Forum and Recent Discussions. This seems to resolve the issue.

I didn't encounter the problem that much lately, now I know why. I switched to Recent Discussions a few times each session to see how often my initiated threads on the Worldtimer and IWC design were read, once they disappeared from the top 6.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I have similar problems with Mac OS X, Safari.
I am logged in but not recognized. When I press Sign In the system says that I'm already logged in. (see Bill's post).
Then today I was given the wrong user name.
Fortunately if I'm going to see and edit the profile, I'm in my profile. (puhh)
The system does not notice my read posts. If I go in and read, the unread bullet is still on afterwards.
If I post something, I cannot see it on my page, despite the fact it was successfully posted. I have to close the browser and go in again to see my own new post. The same with changes I make to my posts.
I guess there is some problem with the session cookies.
