I need advice of an owner or someone who is familiar with the UTC watch, please.

A friend of mine bought a used piece last week and it did not come with enough links for his wrist. Now he is considering ordering a couple of links through the AD. But before he does that, he wished to know first if the links from the Mark XV would fit because if they do then he may just buy surplus links from fellow IWC owners with a Mark XV instead.

    Thank you.

    Hi Ruckdee,

Which model did he buy and which bracelet? Here is my 'classic' UTC with the 'old style' steel bracelet, is that the one?

This bracelt came for various watches in the past and the end-pieces/fit certainly differed between models, it might me the bracelet itself is the same width?!

    Thanks,

    Bob

    Hi Ruckdee,

The Mark xv links will not fit. Those are 19 mm wide.
He needs the 20 mm links which were part of the utc as well as the pilot's chronograph 3706 bracelet.
Just as a side note, the 3717 and 3711/3713 bracelet links are 21 mm wide.

I hope he will be able to get the right links.
    Greetings
    Chris

Many thanks to both Bob Bunnik and Vogi. The watch he bought is the same one shown by Bob. Now I know the correct link size would be 20 mm. and will tell him to drop the idea of buying extra links from Mark XV owner.

    Thank you!
