    Hello all,

Looking to get it right this time with the cal 89 after learning from my previous 'bad' investment. Please share you thoughts on the watch condition, it's originality and whether it's a good piece to keep? Note that the crystal is a custom made plexiglass as pointed out by the owner. Do you reckon I could change it to a domed acrylic one?

    Pictures below:

It looks in fabulous condition and totally original (not sure about the crystal). To me, it has the classic "Calatrava" design (named after some Patek ref. 96 models) and classics are always worth having.

Hey Michael, thanks for sharing. What do you think is a reasonable price I should be paying for this (without box and papers)? I'm thinking USD 1,000 to 1,300?

Serial number on the movement is 1630406 and 1056505 on the back cover. Can anyone help to point me to the rough period where the watch was made? Thank you so much.

Thanks Bill, finally got my answers. That was very helpful, appreciate it. Any idea as to what's a reasonable price to pay for this piece without box and papers?
