I have taken a number of close up shots of my new Vintage Portofino Hand Wound, but they are in post processing, which I find a bit of a challenge.

But since I am so extremely happy with this new addition to my collection, I am rushing to post the obligatory wrist shot. Surprisingly for a 46 mm watch, this one is extremely comfortable. Weighing in at only 85 g, it is light compared to my Inge and Doppel Chrono. I have a 7.5 inch fairly flat wrist and the Portofino sits perfectly. As others have commented the hands are a bit difficult to see in certain lighting situations, but the Breguet hands are beautiful. The silver moon disk is very legible as are the stars in the background.

I am spending almost an equal amount of time looking at the display back as the dial itself. The hound wound movement is beautifully decorated. Even with the 3/4 pate, you get a spectacular view of the balance wheel and parts of the running train. The large index and balance cock are a major feature.

I haven't set the moon-phase yet. Fortunately, I can use my PPC to know the phase for the next 500 some years with no problem. : ).

If your AD has received it, I highly recommend rushing in to try it on. This one will be a gigantic winner.

I will post more photos and a more detailed review once the pictures are out of Photoshopping.

    A very happy collector,

    Bill

    I really like that

The VC portofino has become the one piece in the VC I most lust for; thanks for posting the photo. As I am still waiting on a non-VC piece I pre-ordered I cannot buy another quite yet, but it still tempts me!

    Wearing it makes it alive

This is a very beautiful picture of a very beautiful watch. It is the shape of the glass that makes it look quite special. And the size of your wrist is perfect for this watch. Good luck!

    Kind regards,
    Paul, wearing titan Inge Automatic

I am surprised by the size on your wrist. I thought it would be much larger. What a great timepiece.

    Great watch and picture Bill!

It looks stunning! Make sure to post plenty of pictures and maybe a side by side with the Perpetual to see the difference in size?

Enjoy this beauty in good health,

One more before I quit photoshop editing>>>

my other shots for the night. I am so excited about this new acquisition. The Vintage Collection Portofino is stunningly beautiful. More shots and a review in the next couple of days. I haven't had my eyes off this one all day.

    What a small wrist!

    Dear Bill,

many thanks for your marvelous fotos!
You have got the watch i will get one day (slowly, step by step)!
Congratulations and wear it in good health!
    The Wrist Shot is outstanding!
The watch almost looks a little bit too small at your wrist :-))
As the watch is 46 mm in the diameter, i would like to meet you "as a friend" next time :-))
It seems as if the diameter of 75 would fit you correct :-))
Please continue posting such great pictures!
I really love this watch and i am sure i will get it one day!

This watch is exactly YOUR perfect fitting watch!

    greetings from Austria :-))
