Picked up this deployant locally from a guy. I've been reading that the fakes have been rather superlative. On hindsight, I probably should have gotten this from the AD directly, and this didn't come cheap.
What are your thoughts?

Hi, looks real and exactly like the deployment I got for my Top Gun (which originally came with a pin buckle). As the TG is ceramic, I wanted a ceramic or titanium deployment but the best that was (and is?) available is a titanium coated buckle with a stainless steel clasp. Still - love it. Shing,
I'm wondering if the folding buckle for the new Volvo Club would fit...
I believe it is made of titanium?
Kelvin - yes good idea ! Have to check dimensions though.

Shing,
Is above a different buckle??
I do notice there seem to be 2 different sets of inscribing....
Its either: Swiss Made, BRO, Stainless Steel or Swiss Made, B, Acier Inox.
Hi LeonGKC,
Do you mean between my Top Gun buckle and the Titanium Yacht Club's ?
Acier Inox is french for "stainless steel", so both should mean the same thing, i.e. both claps are in stainless steel.
so Kelvin, I think we need to confirm further whether the Ocean Volvo Titanium Yacht Club's deployment is totally in titanium, or just titanium coated. my steel Yacht Club's deployment also has the inscription 'Swiss Made, BRO, Stainless Steel'
Shing, appreciate your confirmation. If it is indeed made of titanium and fits... please let me know. If so, when you order yours, please tell Gary I will be there soon too... :-)
Shing/Kelvin --unless things have very recently changed, IWC doesn't make a titanium buckle. They're difficult to fabricate to they produce a sand-blasted steel buckle that looks like titanium.
LeonGKC --your buckle looks authentic to me.
Is this also true for the buckle of the bracelet of the titanium Ingenieur AMG? Is the bracelet itself, the links, made of titanium or is it also sand-blasted steel? If so, IWC did make quite a good look-alike job of it. As the total titanium watch is much lighter than its steel brother, I would infer that at least the bracelet is titanium.
Kind regards,
Paul
Taking a closer look, does the polished beveled edge seem a tad too thin?
Mine
Shing's
AD=authentic. Why worry
Leongkc, if MF is happy then be satisfied and rest easy. Your first photos made me think it was genuine, that's not to say that some may differ from others, as when sandblasting and then polishing there will be a difference I suspect.
Pardon the paranoia.
Thanks guys!
