    Hi all!
I am a 24 year old guy from the United States. I am a long time watch enthusiast and am getting close to making the jump and purchasing an IWC. The 3714-46 has forever caught my eye both in pictures and in person. I love the look, the crispness, the beauty, the dial, the colors, the chrono, how it wears, the versatility, its ease to service, etc. I think that sometime in the next six months I will make this watch my own. I am just wondering what you guys think of this piece and how you feel about it being the daily wearer for a 24 year old guy like myself? Is this a good choice? Looking forward to hearing what you all have to say, thanks!

The 3714 is a true design icon!

And if you ask me the version you are spotting is no doubt the sharpest looking one :-)

Looking forward to your upcoming wristshots!

Hi, I think the original Port Chrono is a true design classic and 200% IWC! For anyone, but also a young guy like you, it's perfect:
    - very clean looks
    - blued hands are fantastic and less 'classical' than the white dial version with gold indices and hands
    - easy to wear on a suit or jeans

    Etc.

I thinks it's one of IWC's best looking watches ever and one of the best value-for-money watches too!

    Best regards,

    Bob

It's an excellent choice. Especially with the blued hands as Bob wrote. The size is just right and it is a super watch for daily use. I had one for years.
    Go for it!

I own one and I'm absolutely in love with it. It's very refined, crisp and understated but looks beautiful as a whole. It's also more versatile than the gold one. Works perfectly on casual and more formal situations.

I think a 3714 will suit you really well!

While you are at it, check out Portugieser Chrono Classic (IW3903-02) as well.
    See which one you prefer.
