    Aloha Dick -

I saw your "ex-Hawaiian Big Pilot" before it flew off to you - it's in great shape and a great catch! I wish I could have picked it up for myself.

    Thanks Greg -

I think that Alan Ross has been designated as the official photographer and he'll do a great job!

I'm going to be pretty tired after flying all the way to Geneva. (LOL)

    Hello, Tracy!

... [T]here doesn't appear to be much Photoshop, maybe just the eyeglass lenses?

    Best,
    -Joe

    Aloha Joe -

I bought the mannikin head from the thrift store and spray-painted it black. I also bought the beret from the thrift store. The loupes are real.

I photographed the mannikin under a portable light tent on my kitchen counter.

    i3.photobucket.com/albums/y99/-Kokoro-/SIHH-Pic1.jpg

After I took the picture, I realized that the loupe frames were not on the mannikin head properly (by the ear). Also, the beret was too loose and looked like a shower cap. I used photoshop to repair these two mistakes.

I also used photoshop to add the IWC logo on the beret and the BP 5003 mirror-image reflections in the loupe lenses.

I should have spent more time getting a better-focused picture of the BP 5003 dial!

    Hope that helps!

Tracy, you are the still life expert also the thrift shop rummage expert, i am staggered what you come back with.

Shing has become very proficient in his lounge aka the Flaship Boutique.

Can you not pack your camera, tripod, light tent, light boxes (voltage 220 so change what's necessary)and background cloth? By the way your beach shot with BP, just how photoshopped is that? Not sure I'd ever leave if that was near to home.

Well, to go back to the original question, here's what I'm wearing now:

Sorry it's an old shot, but I just don't have time for photography projects as I'm getting ready for SIHH.

Giovanni, glad you posted early. Great purchase and something to treasure for years. More photos front and rear please.
Plat IWCs with that dial colouring do carry a special aura IMO, just wish I had the Port auto and perpetual within my grasp.
