Is there a special lens you use to get such clear and detailed close up photos?

These pictures are made with my Canon 40D and the Canon EF-S 60 mm macro lens.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Great pics, Cinq. I'm convinced. Now I want a 5032 as well!

Thanks. I just bought a Canon 60D. Guess I need a macro lens.

    Valuable IWC lovers,

5032 or 5023? Or is it a really tough case to decide?

One hand, I find 5023 more elegant and classy; one the other hand, 5032 seems to be a perfect Perpetual Calendar function with hemisphere feature and count down to next full moon! That looks quite more sophisticated while the former (5023) looks little bit less messed up and has easily read dial.

By the way, the blue dial on 5032 is just a killer!

Time to renew the "debate" between Mark and Giovanni! :-)

Happy to do that - but lets be honest here. Both the 5032 and the 5021 are absolutely superb and both with their blue dials, very handsome time pieces. Only difference - Giovanni wishes he had a 5021 :-)

But jokes aside - no matter which Portuguese Perpetual one opts for fellows, uou end up with a timeless beauty!

@ Clemens, that PISA Perpetual still haunts me! What a magnificent dial.

That blue is just unreal. Top of my list.

You can't go wrong with any of the two. Personally, I love the blue dial.
Here is a picture of two blue dials. Guess which one is a 5032 and which one a 5021;-)

Well, Giovanni, actually I can not choose which one is 5021!

Anyway, I believe I will make my decision towards a 5032!

Blue is the color of hope! :-)

I think 5032 would be better if they use the same moon plate as it is in the ingenieur constant force tourbillon.

It would be a perfect touch with a real surface moon phase!

    Opinions please...

I agree. Had not thought of that before - if the moon disc was also as large as the constant-force moon disc too - but do not know if that would be possible in 5032 - or ultimately, how it may affect the style of the Portuguese... Good idea for someone with photoshop skills...

Giovanni: it's hard to see on the iphone but I think the top one is the 5021.

    Kind regards,

You're not the only one who doesn't know the difference! I don't deny the blue is a great shade but...I would have concern about the overall legibility at a glance. Not seen the blue in the metal though.

Look closely on the bezel, the left one is 5032.

If possible, we could see the difference in the clasp used as well.

Correct me if I am wrong.
