I guess good connections help to get a ticket to this exclusive fair. At least in my case...

I know my fiancé and I would love to attend if given the opportunity. We'll be waiting with baited breath.

Since my one and only IWC is an Ingenieur AMG, I can't wait to see if IWC updates the Ingenieur lineup.

Good news folks: with great pleasure I have received the invitation from IWC yesterday and with not lesser one I want to share it here with you. I am in. I have "RSVP-ed" with my confirmation, my flight is already booked and my hopes that there will not be any business issues to stop me are high.

Hereby I want to thank our dear moderator Michael for spending a word or two for me, IWC for invitation and Oliver from IWC for sending the good news :o) I am looking forward to the event and of course to meeting as many of you as I could. So, who else is coming then ?

And one more question. Is there any hotel, that you can recommend or where the collectors usually stay in ?

I saw recently a post by SHING for a pre-Meeting in Geneva the evening of the 23rd January, but I can't find it anymore, so I write it here: If anyone would like to join a nice dinner, some "Uhrenfreunde" ("watch friends") will meet and cordially welcome other fans of nice watches. Just drop me a mail: regulateur@me.com!

I heard from participants of this years IWC invitation that the collectors meeting will be - unlike the previous years - on Wednesday, not Thursday. So on Wednesday eventing they will have a common dinner and not be able to join us. Too bad. Still, the option exists to meet other watch friends on regular basis - just drop me a mail for more details.

This criteria has never worked for me in the past 11 years and I've been around for most of those.

So next Wednesday there will be a small but exclusive dinner with some watch friends and on Thursday, it will be a fantastic day for real watchfriends visiting IWC and many other world famous brands. If some of you would like to participate in 2014, let me know!

Well, certainly this year's planning was a little hard (for me, as I haven't been to this event before and the watch friends dinner was moved from Tuesday to Thursday) but for the next year I should be better prepared :o)

Problem is, at least I think it is, we do not know on which day the "second" dinner (in the year 2014) shall take place, do we ? Anyway for 2014 I try to plan my visit in Geneve regardless of the official agenda to be able to meet also with the rest of the gang!
