I was just browsing through current Ingenieur collection and looking closer at the new Ingenieur Dual time which is a very nice piece but I realized that I really miss Mission Earth. It was a great tool watch with all the design philosophy I liked so much (not a big fan of current collection in general).
And it had inhouse movement which was overall great value for the price point. Does anyone know why it was discontinued ? I might be on a hunt for one soon.

I think it is simply because it belonged to the previous generation of Ingenieur watches and the nature/explorer concept is not carried over. Current Ingenieur watches are all about automobile and racing, as far as the visuals and backstory are concerned.

The full model name of the Mission Earth does not have the word "Big" in it I believe.

I still see the Mission Earth being offered as new in my country. If you like it, you'd better check with your dealers or boutiques. Chances are that there may be one or two sitting around, waiting for you.

    Good luck.

I absolutely love my Mission Earth. Love the weight and chunkiness of it. Especially on the bracelet. I have seen plenty around retail over the last wee while. I don't think it will be hard for you to find one.

    Cheers,

    Jarrod
