Just curious if anyone thinks (or knows!) if we'll see the introduction of another ceramic Doppel (other than the current Top Gun model, which I don't care for)? Unfortunately I wasn't collecting watches when the 3786 was released, but I've fallen hard for that model.

Hi Andrew and welcome. 1. Never say never >

because anything is possible. However, one needs patience which makes Job look impatient. 2. If it is the Ref. 3786 you love, then you need to search the various high-end second-hand dealers and find yourself a 3786 which is in [i]as new[i] condition.

    Cheers from Isobars.

Hi Isobars, thanks for the warm welcome. I do love the 3786, it is quite a beautiful timepiece. I will start the hunt for an as-new one as you've suggested. If you can suggest a few reputable, high-end dealers in the US that I can speak with, then I would appreciate it. I might just purchase a 3717 to keep me satisfied in the meantime. Wish me luck...

    Ceramic and IWC

    Hi,
Since IWC produced only Pilots watches using this material my personal wish and request would be a Aquatimer Ceramic.
I think as IWC stands for technological development in the watch industry , a ceramic case would perfectly fit for an AT.
Using this material and the own caliber 8000 would be another leap towards a "full breed manufactury " .
Just my 2 cnts and a bit of dreaming.

    Kind regards
    Jan

Thanks for the info. I think I'm more of a traditionalist, however, and don't really care for the colored dials.
