Winding the doppel 3876...harder than normal?

I just purchased a new to me ceramic pilot 3786 doppel. The watch was hardly used by the precious owner. When I wind the watch manually it seems to be a bit on the "hard / stiff" side. I don't have anything to compare it to other then a few rolexs a big pilot. The 3876 feels a bit stiffer than those...meaning it take a bit more effort to turn the crown.

Does this sound normal? I'm thinking since it is a more complicated movement than normal the spring is tighter? Since the watch is from 06ish I'm just wondering if it needs to be oiled or serviced?

This movement winds a little harder than others. After time this effect can increase. I had 3 watches based on that movement too which showed that characteristic after a certain time.

If it has not been serviced before, it is due for one, so check the history!

If it still is running well I would not do a service.
I once hat a stiff winding on my old classic UTC with the 2892 based movement.
Mr. Boehmer at the IWC factory service opened it and put a little drop of oil at the right place and closed it again. That needed about 5 minutes and it was OK for 2 more years.

I agree with not scratching where it is not itching, but if a service is due ... Why delay it?
