Hello, I am new to this forum (but not new to forums in general) and had a quick question.

I recently picked up a Mint Condition White Dialed Yacht Club as I could not let it slip away due to the price I was offered at a local AD. Anyways, how can I determine how old my watch is due to the case-back information? In addition, is there any advantage to the movement (or crown mechanism) if it were an older model (like they changed on the Big Pilots)?

    Please help.

    Thanks

    welcome to the forum.

please post some pictures of your beautiful white yacht club!

others may have other suggestions, but i've used this before fine to date based on case number click here

i don't believe there are any 'advantages' to the older movement in a modern yacht club. in fact the advantage you are implying with the big pilot is debatable... some simply like the original slow beat, others the faster beat (and some the inbetween (faster beat but older dial)... it's all a matter of opinion.

    regards,
    thang

Welcome. The differences between the 89360 movement in the ref 390206 and the newer 89361 movement in the ref 390211 are quite small. What I've read is that the shock absorption bridge was changed and that several other minor changes resulted in more efficient manufacturing. Personally, I prefer the look of the older version but that's purely aesthetic.

IW3902-11, when was it made? The link above does not show this. It only states after 2002, which is obvious.

Any clue on year from this?
