At the IWC Passion site of Facebook I saw pictures of a new Yacht Club Worldtimer. Quite a beautiful, classy looking watch. Probably it has the same size as the new Yacht Club Chronograph, about 43mm. And probably it has the same movement as the Pilot's Worldtimer.

I would be interested in the specifications of this watch, and a nice series of pictures. It is great to have a choice for that very interesting worldtimer complication. Being a bit smaller than the Pilot's version, this Yacht Club Worldtimer could be a winner!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I'm a big fan of the original but I think this YC World Timer looks great. I wonder when it will be released?

Really nice. There is something quite spectacular about that dial. It has a special luster, or perhaps it could be the color. That color is really stunning - I forget what it's called...

wow. My heart skipped a beat. It looks so much better than the Pilot Worldtimer (in my opinion). I hope it is priced just like the Pilot... or cheaper...

    well, I can dream, can't I?

I really like this one! I'm not on Facebook so I appreciate Paul bringing the announcement to the forum, and Jarrod's pic of the watch. It has a truly beautiful dial and the world time designations are not cluttered.

This Yacht Club Worldtimer is not yet mentioned in the collection part of this site. As, for instance, the Ingenieur Hamilton. The latter is a limited edition, so the question is: is the Yacht Club Worldtimer a limited edition too (which I don't believe to be true)? Or is it not yet presented? It would be nice to have the specification and pictures in the collection part, I hope the announcement of the watch, if it will happen in an official way, will be soon!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Just googling the watch learned, that the watch seems to be limited to 500 pieces. Quite remarkable in my opinion, as I guess some modifications are necessary that are not quite the same as a special coloured dial: to me this Yacht Club Worldtimer is a brand new watch! I hope at a certain point in time also a regular model will appear. But that ardoise sunburst dial looks very tempting!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

It will be great when/if the details are released here. I think it looks very cool and I would be tempted.

Some more info on the Yacht Club Worldtimer, the ref. 3266.
    Launch is scheduled in April.
It is a limited edition ( but not boutique only ) in 100 pieces in red gold with a silver dial and in 500 pieces in steel with ardoise dial.
    Diameter is 45.4 mm.
It has the rotating 24-hour ring that enables good and easy legibility of the 24 time zones including the current UTC.

Tonny, so that's the 'old' larger Case and not the smaller editions introduced at SIHH this year?! Thanks for clarifying!!

I just found these pictures of the front and back of the rose gold version of the Yacht Club Worldtimer on the web, with a short description, including price: just google Yacht Club Worldtimer to find them. To me this is a stunning watch! You can find the same pictures of the steel version.

What I find remarkable is that IWC modified the older, bigger version of the case for the Yacht Club Chrono to make a limited edition: they had to remove the holes and maybe other provisions for the chrono. This kind of thinking can be interesting in a few years time when deliberating about a CF4.

In the meantime, I just enjoy the pictures of this fabulous watch!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I was at my AD yesterday and they had the new book that AD's get. It had the YC World Timer with all the versions in it. It looked great. Can't wait to see one in the flesh.
