    Hello all.
I have this Zentra cal 583 and would love to know if any of you guys have one or have seen one like it.
I know the dial/movement are fine but never seeing another like this I cannot confirm that the case is correct.
It is stainless steel with the lead seal still in place, the large crown tube fits the crown perfectly and has the large aperture for the crown tube. The IWC logo is machine engraved and not stamped or laser engraved.
Please could we keep comments to people who are positive about their knowledge on these Zentra IWCs? This type of watch tends to get negative comments if collectors haven't seen them before, I do not want to dismiss the watch if it is correct but also don't want to mislead anyone if the watch isn't correct.
    Thanks Michael

Can you show me a Zentra with IWC movement and Zentra dial?
I am not familiar with these at all.
    Thanks Michael

Yes, the watch with c587 does not has the Zentra dial, reason=? (repalced?).
When you scroll down the same post you see the "Zentra-IWC-Dial".

What does 'dial wrong' mean here: a true IWC dial on a watch it is not supposed to be on?

I must say that I really like the dial lay-out. It reminds me of the original dial of the first Portuguese, that inspired the dial for the Vintage Collection Portuguese. One difference is the extra blank ring between the railroad track an the ring for numbers and markers. That adds to the vintage look, reminding me to some Patek Philippe Calatrava dials. This dial lay-out could be modernized a bit and used on a special Portuguese.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Hi Ralph.
These are the only two Zentra/IWC wristwatches I have ever seen and both have IWC dials.
Maybe I am not looking in the right place.
Can I ask where you have got the information from and also if you know where I could find pictures of Zentra with Iwc calibres in wristwatch form?
    All the best Michael.

    Hi Michael

The are not so common (I think few hundred) and you have to search watches from the 30's. (for wrist watches you only find c.583, c.587 and c.592

Here a small selection of ZentRa's I could take a picture a while ago.

    Thank you Ralph.
I cannot find another 583 anywhere.
The case didn't concern me that much as I had seen a Zentra with a similar case with the sunken crown before, I also though early Zentras had the oversized crown tube. I have owned a few IWCs with the sunken crown like this too.
Anyone out there with a caliber 583?

    Hello Michael

Also the shown screw back of the 583 seems for me to be not of the 30's.
For me it looks like a waterpoof case (not yet used by IWC in the 30's) with missing joints.

I think the showed IWC with the sucken crown has a snap-on back.

    regards

    Ralph

    Hi Ralph.
Yes the IWC pictured has snap back. I believe Zentra were using screw backs in this era, or was it just after?
I have found this one with similar style dial but cannot find a picture of the case back.
