I have three of these. I think there is a chance that this could be a repainted dial but hard to tell just from this photo. Do you have other photos? Have you asked the seller if dial is untouched original?
If iwc is never planning to integrate this technology into the watch itself, i think it would be better to just let another company that focuses on this technology to just have space on their bracelets. Like iwc straps by jawbone up, google, samsung or fitbit. Or if allowed even apple down the line. if i were buying the best smart technology im not sure id buy anything by iwc.
I picked up two cushion shaped IWCs this week here in brazil. I noticed that a few manufactures released these styles in a modern version recently at SIHH and Basel this year. Vacheron Constatin with their Harmony line, Cartier's Cle de Cartier, Laurent Ferrier and to a lesser degree Omega as well.
Anyone think IWC will ever do anything in this shape again? Sorry if this topic has been covered already since i'm new to forum!
Also, please let me know if anyone knows anything specific about these watches and post pictures of their own cushion shaped IWC's! One is 37mm and other is 40mm.
Thanks everyone for warm welcome! My collection has grown to 21 IWCs now. Here are a few more wristshot photos of some Ive been wearing lately. Hope you enjoy.
Ben- my latest aquisition was actually the Ingenier vintage edition in rose gold with brown dial.
Nelson- Yes, the tiffany dial is a cal89. Besides that I dont know too much else about the watch.
