Thanks Kelvin, indeed this also gives plenty results. Google even saves the pictures that are deleted by the Photobucket action from the original postings...

Been away for a while and just learning the new forum and website. I am looking for an IWC Porsche Ocean 2000 watch and need some info on the bracelet types but cant find the search option ....
If a member can help me or post a link to some info on this watch type and bracelets i will be very thankful !

The special Wempe and Ali editions used the same font before, while the CF3 was based on the Spitfire 3878 edition less the triple date. It is all connected......, and IWC. Hope the Aussies like it, they deserve a few special editions !

Thanks for posting, i need a few more looks at this one.

Its more like a mark XII tribute come to think of it, with the automatic movement and date window.

This is supposed to come out in the fall, limited to 1948 pieces, its the mark 18 case and movement, and i like it a lot !

Of course its not an exact replica but more modern and in line with today`s market, but it has the spirit imo. Due to the longer hour markers the date is better positioned than in the mark 18 i believe.
If anyone can download that picture to post here please do so, i failed at that.....

And maybe thats why IWC now uses ; one of 500 , instead of a numbered edition ? Just a guess.
I think the Ingenieur 3228, 40mm and saphire case back was also a very short production run, less than 600 i have read. And it was a good looking watch with cal 80110, but not antimagnetic.

Follow up;
Does IWC still make their own dials, have they always or are they outsourced?

Hello Members, i know printed hour markers, and applied too ( love those) but
what if a dial has arabic hour markers embossed does this mean the numbers are pushed out with force from the back of the dial, or is the rest of the dial pushed inwards from the front side to leave the numbers higher.

Is this technique still used by IWC, or was the Portuguese chrono 3714 one of the last to have this type of dial and now it is either printed, pilots mostly i think, or applied like the new Da Vinci`s.

The things one can wonder about.....

What a great watch, and pictures too! Besides being a great watch it is also versatile with dressed shirts i see.
Maybe i should consider it again, i always liked it as a more casual watch and i love the large second hand with counter weight paddle.
But i always felt it stood out to much for not going under the shirt sleeve.

edit: maybe i need better shirts first ...
