Thanks for sharing your experience. I too waited and researched before closing in on one, not two. But the one is feeling quite lonely now. Am contemplating my fav: 500107.
Lets see. Family is strict that IWC = Swiss trip.
So have to wait for a bit now. Till the holiday season....

I am no master nor the authority on watches. Just a hobby.
But when I decided to go for a good watch, it had to be good & accurate. Should love the look & feel as I would be wearing it everyday.
Good watches should be cherished, not traded. In fact I have only one IWC, and although I am looking to add to my collection, my son just told me that if his grades are good, would I gift him my old watch & keep the new one.
Now that's the bonding I was looking for. He did his research & said he would like mine. But his dream watch is the PSS. That he said he will buy it himself when he starts earning.

FYI: I got my new Portofino at a discount in retail, 3 summers ago. My friend, during his trip last year, stated that there was nothing below 3.5K Euros, & I got a new one in retail for quite less than that (of course I took the VAT discount, etc).

But the watch is ready to pass down the generation, and I am scouting for a new one. My fav is the 500107. But would be glad if I can get suggestions. Starting a new chat, hope to get a lot of feedback on it.

Its amazing how much we get to know about IWC and the different models, in the forum.
Had a question, could we have, on the IWC site, a collection of the vintage IWC watches (time pieces) that are no longer in production, like this one : New Zealand Air Force Mark 11.
I too did not know of this beauty. I know it would be a long task, and I think many on the forum would love to know more of the earlier watches. What better than pictures to do so.
In puts can be obtained from many Forum members itself. Being a relatively new member (2011), it would give guys like me a great insight.

Amen to that. I got a thin wrist as well, anything beyond 41mm, and it is not justice to the IWC Kid (cant call it a watch now after seeing the video).
Hoping for a few more around the 40mm mark.

Just saw the video on the complications. Man, loved every watch.
Looks like I got to double my efforts as the lovely people in IWC.
Need to up my collection.

Had seen one, loved it. Was a special edition of Ingenieur for Laureus Foundation. Was in HKG IWC, but sold out before I got there.
Will try my luck in Jan again.
With my (good) luck , once I get the 500107, the Forum Watch will be declared. :)
