As a hypothetical exercise, imagine being given 100,000 (in Dollars or Swiss francs) with the entire purpose being to acquire five – and only five – Ingenieur examples. Which models should they be?
MF wrote a nice article about this.
    You can read it here

    Enjoy the read.

This article is a combination of a perfectly explained history and technical evolution of the Ingenieur mixed with the emotional preference of a collector, who's choices are almost 'evidence based' and well understood.
    Thanks MF.

Great article and I can follow Michaels thoughts. That's why I have in my modest collection the 666, 866, 3508, 3227 and the 3303. Yes, I desperately need the 1832!

I read this when the new site went up and I have to echo Adrian's comments - a perfect summation.

Michael - I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article, learning more about Ingeniuer history, and gaining an insight into your reasoning.

Was pleasantly surprised to see the DoppelChrono made it to the list too!

What an interesting way of explaining the Ingenieur history, and highligght the most important models - I really enjoyed this article Michael, thanks!

And I am happy to be the owner of at least one of them :-)

An interesting and fun read- thanks, MF! How many of us have played this game before- 'if I had X dollars/francs, what IWC's would I buy?'- fun.

And I 100% agree with the first sentence of your last paragraph.

This was another educational moment for me via this interesting article. As Nelson noted, I've often played the "what if I had x amount for watches?" Thanks for another great read, Michael!

A great read though a little bit biased. But from a collector's perspective that's fine.

My humble piece of engineering ...

The engineer collection is probably the most special in IWC's history.
