    Hy everybody,

I have the opportunity to buy a Da Vinci Beta21 in Gold with Gold bracelet. Could you give me some infos about this watch in general and what price would be reasonable? Condirion is used, so I will have to do a total service if I buy the watch. Thanks a lot!!

Has nobody an idea about the value? I know the watch is hard to find because there were just 75 produced in Yellowgold...But what range should I go?

Probably the low response here due to the fact that not many people are aware or know of this classic vintage piece!

The gold price obviously plays a role here, as it's got a solid gold bracelet (even if gold price today is lower than a year ago.

Hard to judge on price - but I would say in the range of €4,200 to €4,800 depending on condition and under current depressed Vintage market prices.

I concur with Mark. Last ones I saw, a few years ago, were in the $5000 range.

Demand for this model is limited, since the movement can be finicky and it uses hard-to-find batteries outlawed in most places. Value is more for gold and historical role.

For info in general on the Beta 21s, do check the archives here. I've had several in steel.

    I agree with Michaels pricing.

Some years ago, the IWC Service did an Beta21 conversion from old mercury based batteries with 1,35 Volt to modern batteries with 1,5 Volt.

So, you can solve the battery problem.

saw it for sale too on an auction site. The prices mentioned by the others were close to the final price. A special watch, tricky to buy without inspecting it.

I think the other comments are on the spot. I bought mine in 2006 for € 3.000 and it is not a hipper watch now. If you can get it for about the price of the gold value you will eventually become a winner.

The watch is about 200 grams. I do not know how much the movement or the crystal weights but it is a massive gold watch. I belive the case back alone is about 31 grams or more than one ounce.

    It is a great watch.
