5251 Portofino “The Fried Egg”?

I’ve heard some refer to the large profile of the 5251 with its glossy white enamel dial and domed crystal as the “Fried Egg”.  Thoughts?  

I can see why people call the 5251 the “Fried Egg” — the combination of the white dial, large case, and domed crystal gives it a very distinctive look. Personally, I think the nickname is more playful than negative; it highlights just how unusual the design is compared with most vintage watches. The 5251 definitely has a character of its own.
