Could someone help me identify if this watch is genuine, its worth etc?

I got this watch as a gift and but i don't know very much about it. the case is supposed to be gold, i guess. Cal. 83, i don't think the watch hands are genuine though. Thank you in advance!

I think the minute dots might be repainted but the hour indicators and logo look adequately old. Still it feels like a difficult one to put a price on. From a reselling point of view, i mean. 

How much would it be worth? Any idea?

Do you know what markings are stamped inside the caseback? That could help confirm the gold case and narrow down's the watch's age.

Caseback has no markings, so its most likely a replacement caseback…im just curious how much would a watch in this state is worth with no original hands, repainted minute indicators…basically just the movement:))

the dial has been redone with pretty poor quality. The italic lettering is definitely not original. The movement looks OK, altough one screw to hold the movement in the case is missing. As Tonny mentioned steel back and gold middle part of the case is not known for a watch from the 1940s. As you mentioned, the value of this watch is defined by the movement only. Check the well known online auction platforms for valuation.
