Hi. I'm new here. Found this in my dad's stash and Google Lens didn't give me solid answers about model number, estimated year of production, whether it's manual winding or automatic. And if it's manual wind, which direction? I could only wind it counterclockwise (if I'm looking at the crown)--couldn't turn the crown upward (clockwise). The watch would start to run after shaking it a few times.

    Can anyone help please?

Regarding the watch, the dial is suspect, the case is also suspect.

The technical information you seek regarding the crown no longer rotating clockwise, is because the mainspring is fully wound. The watch mechanism is faulty, preventing it from running.

hi Mark, thank you for your reply. I used a magnifier to get a close look at the words on the dial and thought IWC couldn’t have done such a bad job. The r and the n looked almost similar. The Ltd. also looked lighter than the rest.

IWC never signed a dial "International Watch Co. Ltd.". As well the punches on the back are forged.

The watch in total is nothing but bogus.
