Well, it is about time I introduced myself into the Collectors' Forum. I have been an IWC enthusiast since many years now. I come from a family who have always been into mechanical watches. My grandfather was a watch trader, my father was a mechanical watch admirer. I remember that when I was young, I used to like listening to the sound of my father's automatic watch rewinding, I must have held his wrist a thousand times.I have been into wristwatches all my life, but only in the 90's my interest turned to IWC. Not to be reached financially at he time, but I startede to learn everything there is to learn about IWC. I started out bying and selling vintage IWC watches, like calibre 88 and 89's and selling them in order to make some money for a contemporary IWC. Even came across Adrian (alwaysiwc) in this way. After years of saving I finally bought my dream watch, an IWC Potuguese Chrono in pink gold. Unfortunately I had to sell it one year later, due to financial setbacks. After that I started all over again and saved for a new IWC. I have had in my posession a Portofino and a Ingenieur AMG, but also these had to go too soon, because of financial reasons again.... It hurts letting a watch go if you have fallen in love with it. A few months ago I have have bought a very special IWC. It is a Ingenieur CLS 55 AMG, which is limited to 55 pieces. As I read in the Forum, there are actually 165 pieces, 55 each for the Europe, Asia and USA. I have a one of 55 intended for the USA, and very proud of owning it! This one I am not letting go!
Best Regards
