Thank you! I agree especially with your last words. To me, watches really are an emotional partneralthough my girlfriend doesn't understand...You know, a watch is with you everyday, with everything you experience. New things, achievements, setbacks, etc. They last and are 100% faithfull. That's why I do not have the intention of letting my Ingenieur go....

    Hi Clemens,

Thank you. I hope this piece will stay with me too, and hopefully adding some more special pieces. Because that's what every IWC is, ins't it. A special piece. I feel privileged for owning this one. I must have done something right eventually deserving this one!

Hi Zyxtimer, thank you so much. Do you also own a USA version? That would mean we are two of 55 owning them..... Maybe a nice idea of finding other owners (the remaining 53) Now that would be a nice challenge! By the way, I am curious... the Ingenieur Laureus has a blue dial, does that one have a sunray dial or is it plain? I like the classic look. Nice to go with a blue suit.....

Hi Allen, it gets even better..... It's a silver dial! When I was going to buy buy it, I only saw the pictures and hoped it was a silver dial instead of white. When I first laid my eyes on the watch in person, I was thrilled. Beatifull.....

So, that's two of 55! Where would the other 53 be? Like a little reunion....
Do you also own the car?

Welcome and thanks for posting the picture of that very special Ingenieur.

As far as I am concerned, the Ingenieur line defines all the great qualities of IWC. Whether the case is a precious metal, steel or titanium, the watch must be robust and anti-magnetic. A watch built on the line of form follows function with fashion being secondary. That's why we're looking forward to the next Ingenieur update in January.
